Dear Colleagues,
The Department of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery, KMC Mangalore, are sending a second call regarding our endoscopic sinus surgery workshop, SINOCON KMC 2013, to be conducted on the 12th and 13th of April 2013. To share with us their experiences in this field, we have with us, pioneers in the subject, Dr Thulasi Das (Chennai), Dr T.N. Janakiram (Trichy), and Dr Neelam Vaid (Pune). In addition, we have the eminent radiologist, Dr Sanjay Vaid to help us navigate the complex anatomy of the sinuses and beyond. We are arranging an exciting programme of events, which we have outlined below.
The highlights of the programme are:
1. Cadaver dissection - Basic procedures of FESS, Advanced procedures including Skull Base Surgery
2. Scientific Talks - Radiology for FESS, Basic Procedures of FESS, CSF Leak Repairs, Frontal Sinus Surgery, Inverted Papilloma, Endoscopic DCR, Skull Base Surgery
3. Interactive Session with Radiologist
4. Proposed Live Surgery (subject to availability and fitness for GA) - Chronic Sinusitis, Nasal Polyposis, Fungal Sinusitis, Inverted Papilloma, Juvenile Nasopharyngeal Angiofibroma, Dacryocystorhinostomy
5. Panel Discussion
