Dear esteemed members of the ENT, Audiology, SLP fraternity and allied professionals from across the globe, It gives us great pleasure to invite you to the 6th Annual Conference of the Cochlear Implant Group of India from the 28th to the 30th of November 2008 at the Nimhans Convention Centre, Bangalore. As you already know, Bangalore is the birthplace of CIGI (May 2003). We have put together a power-packed scientific programme with 15 international faculty, in addition to the national presence and contributions. The highlights of the main conference include an International Panel Discussion on Global Strategies in CI moderated by Gerry O Donoghue; an ABI Symposium; a Future Trends Symposium; a Breakfast Symposium on Envoy Esteem; Symposia of the three implant companies; Cross talk with the Industry; CIGI Quiz; free papers; oral posters and poster presentations. Please visit the Conference Website www.cigicon.org and register early. Early bird registration is up to the 15th of this month. Please also note that the registration for the preconference workshops is separate; with limited seats, registration for any of the workshops is on a first come first served basis. Please do encourage your audiology/therapy students and ENT postgraduates to participate in the conference (separate discounted charge).Note that the registration intent may be confirmed online and the monies can be sent as DD to the Conference Secretariat or wire-transferred to the conference account. Please keep looking up the website for weekly updates. Accommodation details and hotel links will be provided shortly. There will be free paper sessions on two afternoons and we encourage you and your team members to submit abstracts ASAP (sunildutt@hotmail.com). In the event of an overwhelming response to free paper submissions, we may have to consider oral-poster sessions (5 to 10 slides with 5 minute presentations). Poster presentations are also welcome.
